| - The aggressive take-out game of the youthful Regina curling ring of Ernie Richardson, | |||||
| brother Sam and cousins Arnold and Wes Richardson, made them popular winners of the first Scotch Cup, | |||||
| emblematic of the world curling championship. They defeated William Young's Scottish champion ring in Scotland. | |||||
| The Richardsons went on to win the Scotch Cup in 1960, 1962 and 1963 | |||||
