| When the early settlers came to Manitoba, they used the red river cart to haul their possessionst o their homes. | |||||
| The pin was created for the world curling championships held in Winnipeg 2003, to honour the buffalo and the red river cart. | |||||
| Buffalos were very wild creatures which were very difficult to tame. The early setters used oxen or horses to pull the red river carts. | |||||
| Winnipeg`s major river is called the ”Red River”. The red river cart was named after this river. | |||||
